Semester Reflection

This semester I have learned how to work with adobe illustrator and adobe photoshop. (Which was a lot of fun!) I learned how to create different kinds of images. The latest project i did was typography. Making an image out of one word used repetitively. I learned how to make clipping masks and layer masks to hide part of my image with, I learned how to create a photo mosaic, which file to save it to to put it on the internet, color schemes, how to make simply icons, and i learned about textures, space, and value. I would like to be able to move a little faster through the projects and have less blogs. I would like to make a picture book.

Who shot the serif?

Have you learned something?

The definition of the word serif is;
A flare at the end of a letter terminal.

I learned that that serif in japanese is uruko, which means, fish scales.
There are lots of different kinds of serifs and 2 main kinds are adnate and abrupt. adnate serif is more organic. The abrupt serif is squarer and more rigid. I learned that words can have legs, too.
